The problem
Every product team wrote its own components. There were eight different versions of the same button, and brand consistency and accessibility varied from team to team.
Our approach
- An inventory of existing interfaces and a component consolidation effort
- Design tokens generated from a single source
- A component library that has passed an accessibility audit
- Live documentation and adoption tracking through Storybook
The result
All teams moved to a single component library. Building new screens got noticeably faster and the accessibility baseline is now standard.
